Sorry it has been so long since the last time that I posted anything here. Between
Hurricane Ike and the recovery we had a very
eventful September and October. We are finally getting back to normal. At the
beginning of November I participated in a Designer Finder Contest at Digital Scrapbook Place. I created 2 kits during the first 3 rounds. It was a wonderful
experience and a chance for me to try my hand at some knew things in designing. The first kit, Handmade Christmas, was based off of the ornaments that my sister and I made as children. This kit contains 4 papers, 2 angels, 2 cords, 1 star frame, 1 word art, and 2 holly and berry clusters. The layout is of my son and our new puppy. I had the
brilliant idea to take a photo of the two of them in front of our Christmas tree using the natural light in the room. It was a truly fun
experience to get the two of them to sit still long enough for the picture to be taken.
The second kit that I created is Elements of Earth. This is a fun funky kit that is based loosely on the Chinese form of conji. I used it to scrap some portraits taken of my sisters family this past summer. It contains 1 knotted rope, 1 knotted ribbon, 4 papers, 1 flower, 4 photo corners, 1 brad, 1 eyelet, and 1 paper clip.
